Christmas Toycon 2008
December 23, 2008I’ve always wanted to cosplay as Chii from Chobits eversince they lent me the ears for the OMAKE promotion video (Chasing Wonderland). So I “planned” to make a costume for the next cosplay event: Christmas Toycon 2008.
Plan:
Red and white loli costume (the theme was to add a Chistmas touch) plus Chobits ears = Chii.

Yes, I spent a sleepless night trying my best to make my first hand-made skirt and the Chii ears. In speaking of the Chii ears, I had a hard time trying to figure-out how to construct it. But I was able to pull it off.
I also made a white laced cuff:
Actually, my original plan was to use white gloves, but I didn’t like the gloves in Robinson’s Department store. So I went with the semi-weird looking cuffs.
Finished product:
White lace top from my first maid costume, red pants turned skirt from ukay-ukay,white lace skirt from ukay-ukay, nurse white stockings, white cuffs (handmade), red shoes (not shown) by Tommy Hilfiger, red and white knitted headband from a ten-peso store (slightly modified).
The event was fun. Tons of cosplayers and photographers. I was kind of disappoonted with the toys for sale, but going there was worth it.
