I Stole the Bag I Love

January 18, 2009

I toured around the ukay neighborhood last Saturday to take pics for my Ukay Shop post. While taking pictures inside the first shop, I thought I should look at some bags since I really need a new one (my old one is already too rugged for use). I wanted a big black one and by some luck, I found the perfect bag.

It’s a New York & Company bag and I bought it for only 240 pesos! Yay! *I’m a thief for this. LOL*

Devil Shoes

There’s a certain weird thing about shoes from LeDonne. This is not a drive or whatever against them, but I think there’s something wrong with how they designed their shoes. Really.

So I bought these awesome-looking booties last Christmas and I was so excited to use them because they look good on my feet. My feet looks elfin-is and somewhat gothic when I tried them on.

Windy Day

January 16, 2009

It was really, really cold that day. Well, too cold for thin people like me. I’m not really into layering clothes, but since the weather calls for it, might as well do the thing!

This is my “New York” look. The timing was perfect since I had to go to Makati (Ayala area) to visit my boyfriend for his last day at the office (OJT). I stand out among the formal wearing crowd, yet I don’t look too off for the place.

Ukay Stores!

January 12, 2009

I received an e-mail from a girl named Maiki and it reads:

Hi!

Just saw your blog on the net as I was searching around for some ukay ukay information.

My friend and I are planning to shop some bags on ukay ukay stores.  This will be our first time!

I was first introduced ukay ukay on our trip to bagio when I was just around 15 years old.  My mom went back to Baguio recently and she brought some good finds! Like 3 designer bags and 2 jackets!

So I am not really new to ukay ukay, but I’ve never devoted time for it and right now I really want to explore the Ukay world.

Hope you don’t mind if I ask you which stores you recommend here in Manila? Hope you could provide the name and exact location, so my friend and I can plan out our trip soon:)

Thanks for your help sis!! More power to ukay ukay!!! :)

Hello there! Before I begin, I have to apologize for not including the shop names - I don’t really memorize them. But here’s a list of shops that I usually visit: (more…)

Erm…

Preppy eh? Rugged eh?

“I’m running out of clothes.”

I haven’t been doing my laundry for weeks! Haha! I had to mix up some clothes lat Saturday and came out with this:

I’m not sure about what “genre” this outfit is, so you guys decide.

Pink rugged vest, ukay-ukay; white printed spag-strap, 8 waves water park (my Mom’s Christmas gift); layered denim skirt, ukay-ukay; ultra colorful striped socks, divisoria; black chucks. (photo taken by Eli)

"Ironic" Vest

It’s been a while! Happy new year everyone!

My Christmas vacation wasn’t really a vacation. I got hired to teach a six year-old for two weeks and I did some research stuff for my seminal paper. At least I earned some extra money. Yay!

I bought this vest last vacation. My online friend called this the “ironic” vest – military-ish design (buttons, color) with a touch of lace. And because it’s a “military” vest, I just had to have a theme for my outfit. (photo taken by Doms) (more…)
