Baguio Goodies Part 1: Knee-length Boots
April 22, 2009
This is one of my best finds in Baguio. Black knee-length boots made of leather-like material. It has a furry lining inside (cheetah print, haha!) and the heels are 2.5 inches high. It’s in good condition, looks like it’s unused. There’s only a certain part near the foot where some stupid person put a piece of sticker which damaged the leather.
I found it along Hilltop. I was walking around, looking for some stuff when I saw an old lady putting out pairs and pairs of boots. This was the best pair in the pile so I just had to get it. Fortunately, it is my size and the best part is, it’s within my budget (the price is UNBELIEVABLY cheap)!
It’s really comfy to walk in. The front part also has a thick sole so it won’t kill you to walk on gravel. It’s very cute too. The only downside is it gets a little warm inside - not very helpful on hot days.

I haven’t worn it out yet. But I’ll certainly be posting pics soon.

do you know any good ukay ukay place near marikina?
I’m so jealous! Been wanting to have a platform knee high boots since forever.
Posted by Maja at June 24, 2009, 6:08 pm@cassandra: sorry, I haven’t been to Marikina. It’s kind of far from where I am right now. As I mentioned in a few of my posts, I only shop at places where I go to (Manila, Monumento, Cubao, Anonas, watch out for Ortigas). But keep in touch, mabye one of these days I’ll go on an ukay trip.
@Maja: Uhm, the boots aren’t platform.
Thanks for reading guys!
Posted by ukayukayescapades at June 25, 2009, 10:05 amMy bad! Looked like platforms to me. I’m still jealous just the same
.
Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog. I really appreciate it.
Posted by Maja at June 25, 2009, 11:17 pmIt’s ok, the front part looks thick enough to look like a platform, so it can be easily mistaken for one.
I wore the same boots for my ‘Drummer Girl’ post. you can see the side view shot of the boots there.
where do you usually shop in anonas? is it accessible through LRT?
Posted by cassandra at June 27, 2009, 11:21 amThere’s a building of ukay-ukay shops beside LRT2 Anonas station. Please see my Ukay Trip post (http://ukayukayescapades.i.ph/blogs/ukayukayescapades/2008/12/14/ukay-trip/) for more details.
