DBS Cosplay-Catwalk Event
July 6, 2009Reminisce!
I’ve been cosplaying for more than a year now. I first started by putting together stuff I got from ukay-ukay just to make a loli outfit. Now, I’m actually spending money to buy new costumes. It’s like a little addiction, collecting costumes, wearing them to events, taking pictures… it’s fun.
Last year, the Behavioral Sciences Society held a Cosplay+Catwalk even and I gladly particiapted for my org (OMAKE) and to show off my favorite costume (my creative shot for our grad pic). I already mentioned that outfit twice in this blog, but just last night, I saw some pictures from the same event:
This is Ting with his “best friend” Parkson. This was taken before the “show your personality through your outfit” catwalk. See that dress/top I’m wearing? That’s from ukay-ukay. Lulz. It was love at first sight when I saw that top, it has little embroidered detailing in the middle (buttons) and it’s long enough to be used as a dress. It has a drawstring part in the middle to make it shorter.
The official make-up artist of the day, Doms. I used to go ukay shopping with her during college days. I miss hanging out with these guys.
ZOMG MY LEGS! Okay, okay, good thing I don’t have a full body picture of my outfit because, erm. Anyway, you can see the general idea of my outfit: fun, girly, but a little dark. I love KA’s outfit (the girl in black) - loli-goth! I would love to feature her in a post someday becaude I love her outfits.
Outfit: hat, Oxygen; purple dress shirt, ukay-ukay @Ermita; pleated mini, ukay-ukay @EDSA Pasay; long socks, Monumento; Zhin Wei sneakers, Recto.
