Yesterday’s Shirt

August 11, 2009

My grandma is cool.

When she goes out with her friends, she usually comes home with a bag of clothes from places I don’t know. Then she hands me a nice shirt that I wear all the time. Remember my leaf green top (the loose one)? She got it from a tiangge for 50 pesos. Last Sunday, she came home with yet another bag of clothes. A friend of hers just came home from Seattle and bought some clothes from flea markets and thrift shops around the area where she stayed. She asked my grandma to pick out items that we would like.

She got this one for me:

I’ve been lazy to take full-body pics, so I’ll just describe this shirt for you.

The cloth is made of cotton, really soft and nice to touch. The shirt actually feels loose (as if I’m wearing my guy’s shirt) but when I looked in the mirror, I still looked shapely. The neckline is pretty low no push-up bras (unless you want boobage exposure).

I paired it with black skinny jeans and my black sneakers (with purple laces).

The only thing I don’t like about this shirt is the beading. Don’t get me wrong, the beading looks awesome. I just don’t like beaded clothes too much because I feel conscious about losing the beads. I even feel disturbed if there’s a missing bead in my outfit. Meh.

There are two more shirts at home and other Cubao ukay loot so I guess I’ll do another post for this week.
