College Girl
April 25, 2010Sometimes, I wanna go back to college. I miss the care-free lifestyle I had. I miss having afternoon classes and hanging out with my best buds at school everyday. I miss dressing up and not think about wearing ‘appropriate’ clothes.
A few days ago, I just had to wear something that reminds me of my college self.
My new company’s not really that strict about clothes but we are advised to at least look proper - no short skirts, flip-flops, sleeveless tops, no statement shirts plus other things. Pretty basic stuff but I don’t really feel like dressing up when I know there are rules I should follow.

On Ozine Fest and Doll Wigs
April 19, 2010When I bought Gaea, I thought getting a doll wig for her would be easy with all the doll accessories sellers online - wrong. I asked several people to help me find her a wig but its been weeks and no one ever got back to me.
Last week, i found some hair extensions and thought, why not make a wig myself? So I got a yard or so of hair extensions, then stitched the hair on a self-made wig cap. Here’s what I got after a few hours:

Cotton-candy pink hair! Lol. I originally wanted white hair for her, but they don’t carry that color yet, so I opted for the pink one. This’ll be her hair for the meantime. I still have to adjust the wig (turned out to be too tight) and re-style the hair.
I find the look pretty. She looks like a Barbie though, but I guess the wig fits her. I’m thinking of having her face repainted in a few months because she looks too fierce compared to Lilith:

Felt Obsession
April 11, 2010I’ve been pretty hooked on making felt accessories. It started when I found an instructional post from one of the sewing blogs I follow. I got a nice bunch of felt cloth so I started with this one:
Red rose hairclips I used for my Sakura Costume. It was pretty easy to make! It only took me around 20-30 minutes to cut and stitch this pair.
This black rose brooch was made while waiting for my panel interview (for a new job, yay!). The interviewer liked it.
Philippine Cosplay Convention 2010
Phew! Finally got to install Firefox on our PC (as if thats hard, meh) to do a little update. I’ve been off the internet since I left dotPH. Now I’m on internet withdrawal - haha!
I attended this year’s Philippine Cosplay Convention as Sakura from Card Captor Sakura.
Sakura is one of the most flexible anime characters in terms of costumes - she has tons and tons of costumes in the series. Which is why you’ll never see a Sakura cosplayer wearing the same costume (well except for some of her popular costumes. Anywaaay)
