Felt Obsession

April 11, 2010

I’ve been pretty hooked on making felt accessories. It started when I found an instructional post from one of the sewing blogs I follow. I got a nice bunch of felt cloth so I started with this one:

Red rose hairclips I used for my Sakura Costume. It was pretty easy to make! It only took me around 20-30 minutes to cut and stitch this pair.

This black rose brooch was made while waiting for my panel interview (for a new job, yay!). The interviewer liked it.

My cool Grandma  modeling the brooch. Looks nice no?

I made this one using six individual petals. I was going for the sakura flowers look, but I guess I need more practice.

A keyboard hairclip! I’ve been itching to make this one for a while. Since I have no pattern whatsoever for this hairclip, I ended up with a rather large (but cute) hairclip. I took this pic while finishing up the stitches. Looks a bit bland,  but I like it.

What do you think?
