Philippine Cosplay Convention 2010
April 11, 2010Phew! Finally got to install Firefox on our PC (as if thats hard, meh) to do a little update. I’ve been off the internet since I left dotPH. Now I’m on internet withdrawal - haha!
I attended this year’s Philippine Cosplay Convention as Sakura from Card Captor Sakura.
Sakura is one of the most flexible anime characters in terms of costumes - she has tons and tons of costumes in the series. Which is why you’ll never see a Sakura cosplayer wearing the same costume (well except for some of her popular costumes. Anywaaay)
I wore the red neko JSK (jumper skirt), a white puff-sleeved tee, my Shinku dress + bloomers (worn as a petticoat - improvised!), white nurse stockings, and a pair of white boots I got from a recent ukay run. Add the short brown wig plus a pair of cutesy hairclips and you got a Sakura! The star wand was borrowed from a friend (thanks Meems!). Not bad for a rushed costume, right?
As usual, I went with my cosplay family. They’re awesome.
O hai, I’m a 12 year-old. Hee~ I did a-bit-too-thick eyeliner for the costume. I think it looks good.
My favorite cosplayer for the day! My friend TIng cosplayed as Left 4 Dead 2’s Witch. He used my blonde wig for the costume, then improvised on the Witch’s claws (gauze+masking tape+cardboard claws). He looks pretty convincing.
