Clean and Simple
June 1, 2010After receiving the invite for a show for Philippine Fashion Week, I immediately scoured my little closet to look for a decent outfit. It has to be simple, girly, and must suit my black booties (a.k.a. devil shoes) - because its my only pair that can work with the event. Of course, boots would work as well but I don’t feel like wearing them to the show.
After 30 minutes of rummaging through clothes (and after thinking about wearing a vampy outfit instead), I ended up wearing this:
I’ve never worn (almost) all-white before except for special occassions so this is something pretty new. I like how the black corset made me look taller and shapelier.
After the event, I noticed that the soles of my booties are coming off! Its weird since I rarely use this pair and I rarely walk around wearing them (they’re hard to wear, I tell you). Now I’m on the hunt for a new pair of heels, preferrably a pair that looks like my favorite mary janes from People are People (the one I always use for my gothic lolita outfits)*.
The skirt is a new find from a new ukay shop in Monumento (the tag says Kiss and Miss) while the blouse is from Robinson’s Department Store. The black booties are from LeDonne. Corset is handmade.
* The mary janes retired a few months ago. The soles are still in good shape, so I’m looking for someone who can remake the pair.
